Daniel Cordeiro Pereira da Silva (17/08/2002) is a young Brazilian player of 19 years of age who plays as a left winger, right winger and center forward. Throughout his career he has played for Gama Df, Luziania Go, Balaguer CF (Spain), Apafut Rs and Atlétic Castellserà (Spain), the team where he currently plays.

This right-footed player stands out for his speed without the ball, but, above all, with it. Although without the ball he has a change of pace that allows him to constantly get out of the way of his defensive partner and win his back (he makes very good moves in the area between fullback and center back), with the ball in his boots he is not far behind. He is very skillful and has a great dribbling repertoire, in addition to excellent driving. Additionally, he has among his characteristics a very good 1 on 1, in which in most of the duels he comes out victorious thanks to his powerful start. Either breaking inside or leaving at speed down the flank.

In front of goal, there are different facets to analyze. Firstly, it should be noted that he defines with great class. On most occasions he opts for a placed shot rather than a powerful one. In addition, as a 9 in reference, he does not need to look at the goal to finish, as he knows perfectly where it is located. In addition, he is very cool-blooded when finishing: he prefers to feint with a shot and win another better shot opportunity than to shoot at the first opportunity with a shot with little clarity. Finally, Dani is also a very good header. Although he is 1’77 m tall, he dominates the aerial game to perfection and knows how to position himself where lateral crosses are going to fall. This good positioning in the area allows him to give added power to his shots. But it is not only in the crosses that he shows his good aerial game, but throughout the game he is constantly calculating where the ball is going to bounce in order to anticipate his opponents. At this point, it should also be emphasized that one of the most remarkable features of the former Balaguer is the good use he makes of his body to protect the ball and, consequently, not to lose it, despite the rival pressure.

As far as passes are concerned, from his position as a winger he often tries long passes to the back of the rival defense, with destination to the center forward. However, he also tries to pass to the hole. Daniel, likewise, holds the ball very well with his back to goal, to then unload it to the players who come in front of him. Overall, this youngster knows how to link up perfectly with his teammates in all facets of the game.

On the other hand, although he is a forward position player, he also sacrifices himself in defense. When the ball is in the opponent’s flank, he swings with the rest of the team. This fact allows him to recover many balls in diagonal passes, thus being able to go on the counterattack. At the same time, it should be noted that whenever he can, he tries to help his teammates defensively, both at fullback and midfielders, in order to create equality and even defensive superiority.
